The IP SLA Module assists in monitoring and verifying network performance by automatic discovery of devices that transmit IP SLA and Real-time Performance Monitoring (RPM) data.

Key Features of the IP SLA Functionality
MonitoringUsing the IP SLA view, it is easy to monitor the network and summarize the network health. You can group network IP SLA links and edit the IP SLA group name.
The NNM–IP SLA module is also able to monitor response times, packet loss, latency and packet jitters. Advance monitoring parameter of the module include: schedule (Start –time, life, age out), elapsed time (frequency, time interval between packets), number of packets, payload size, UDP/TCP port number, ToS bit, and VRF (VPN Route Forwarding) to help you analyze application throughput and verify network delay problems.
The module can monitor and analyze web access problems via HTTP round-trip time testing to determine which hop is causing web access delays. The IP SLA can monitor reachability statistics, which shows the percentage of device capability within 24 hours, as well as the daily time spam, CPU heat chart and memory usage.
In addition, NNM-IP SLA can generate network performance reports automatically and can act according to predetermined thresholds, with the module issuing alerts via SMS, e-mail and syslog if the levels have been breached, while also sending alert reports.
